How to reach us, and what kinds of message we find most useful.
The site has no JavaScript, no contact form, no chat widget — that is by design. The simplest way to reach the editors is by email at contact@englishtoarabic.org. This is a small operation, so replies are not always quick, but every message is read.
The most useful kinds of message, in rough order:
- Corrections. Factual errors, broken transliteration, mislabelled dialect, a phrase that no native speaker would ever say. Tell us the page URL and the specific sentence or entry. If you can give a source or your own qualifications (native speaker of dialect X, teacher of Y, etc.), that helps us prioritize.
- Region-specific notes. "This works in Cairo but not in Alexandria." "We don't say this in Algiers." "In Beirut this would sound formal." These are the corrections we cannot easily get any other way.
- Suggestions for missing pages. If there is a topic that fits the site and that we have not yet covered, tell us.
- Offers to contribute. See the contributors page for what we are looking for. A short note about your background and what you would like to work on is enough to start a conversation.
We do not handle translation requests, homework, or general Arabic questions over email — there are better tools and communities for those, and we would be a slow and unreliable substitute. We also cannot recommend specific tutors or schools individually.
If you write to us in Arabic, please write in whichever variety is most natural for you; we read MSA and several dialects between us. English is fine too.
